YOU CAN FIND YOUR SANCTUARY IN OURS |
Six years ago my family and I moved to Dallas and found ourselves in the midst of the most caring, other-oriented congregation I have ever experienced. Lovers Lane Church knew itself as an accepting, compassionate, hospitable church but its name said it all. No longer located on the street from which it derived its name, today Lovers Lane understands itself as so named for the greatest lover the world has ever known—Jesus the Christ. One of the most unique features of this congregation is the beautiful, stained-glass, rich in ambient light, place of worship. This powerful place is the site weekly for tremendous music, the uplifting of important community ministry, and centering all on the Word of God. Many youth and younger adults enjoy the celebrative and intimate experience of the Crosswalk worship service that takes place in another attractive, comfortable, technically-equipped, room called Asbury Hall. Worshippers at Lovers Lane know that sanctuary is more than a place. Sanctuary is a safe haven, a refuge, where smiles are contagious, laughter is encouraged and the invitation to be in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ and part of His family at Lovers Lane is warm and genuine. My wife Tammy and I, along with our children Zachary and Emily, found
our sanctuary at Lovers Lane. And I am
fortunate to bring weekly messages in the church’s stained-glass
surroundings and in Crosswalk worship amidst smiles, laughter, and the
same accepting, compassionate, hospitality that we experienced from the
first day of our being here. When this church says, You really can find your sanctuary in ours and we want more than anything else for our sanctuary to become yours too. On behalf of the Christ Family at Lovers Lane, I want to extend to you the warmest of welcomes and an intentional invitation to you to be our guest in worship, perhaps even find a small group, or a class waiting for you to be a part. You can find your sanctuary in ours. Wanna know why? Because God is love, we so love. That’s why! We So Love (WSL), Stan Copeland We would love to hear from you! <Click here |
